“When I was young, I was very fond of being around my father and his orthodontic practice. Today, I most enjoy giving children and adults confident smiles and building their self-esteem. Communication is the key. My staff and I also make a point to volunteer for and participate in as many community activities, especially dental health activities, as possible. We also have a custom sport mouthguard program.”

On a personal note
Dr. Mike spends his free time with his son, Scott, and daughter, Lauren. An adoring father, Dr. Mike loves to attend his kids’ sporting and music events. He also likes traveling and attending independent film festivals, playing tennis and working out. Dr. Mike is originally from Long Island, NY and is the youngest of four siblings.

The newest addition to Team Prairie, Dr. Amanda Nikho, DMD, MS grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Illinois Chicago. Afterward, Dr. Nikho became dual-certified in both hospital-based dentistry at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria and orthodontics at the University of Illinois in Chicago.

Dr. Nikho's philosophy when it comes to orthodontics is to create beautiful, healthy smiles while ensuring each patient and parent feels heard, comfortable, and cared for. She is experienced in a wide range of treatments, including traditional braces, expanders, Invisalign, and more. And, outside the office, Dr. Nikho enjoys spending time with her husband and family! Her favorite food is pizza!

My job is to oversee the everyday operations of the front desk and I am committed to making our patients and their families experience a positive one!. I take care of all new patient exams, file insurance, and help families choose a financial plan that works for them. I’ve been part of the Prairie team with Dr. Weinberg since 2010 and started in the dental/orthodontic field in general in 2004. I strive to keep on learning about my profession and continue to attend continuing education and seminars. Working with people and seeing the amazing results of their treatment are my favorite parts about this job.

I have 2 amazing kids and enjoy spending my time outdoors, traveling, shopping, and trying new restaurants. My favorite food is Mexican!

As a clinical assistant, I am very dedicated to my job and enjoy working with Dr Mike and the team. I love to give it my all to make sure our patients achieve the perfect smile. I have been in the dental field since 2011 and a part of the Prairie team since 2019.

In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family and spending time with my fur baby Rizzo!

I take care of new patients and help them chose a financial plan that works for them, answer phones/schedule appointments and take patient records. I have been part of the Prairie team since 2015 and in the orthodontic field for over 10 years. My favorite part about my job is getting to know our patients and seeing their amazing smile transformations.

In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out at home and spending quality time with my family.

I have been a part of the Prairie Team since 2019 and started working in Ortho in 2016. I enjoy working with Dr. Mike and my co-workers because we are a team who cares about our patients, I love helping achieve a wonderful smile.  I also enjoy spending time in the lab, since I find making retainers quite relaxing!

In my spare time, I enjoy being with friends and family and of course my German Shepherd Jasper.
